Bears' Urlacher Injured; Set to Undergo an MRI...
I sure hope we are as fortunate this year with injuries with key players (Woody aside) as we were last year...
Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports Chicago Bears LB Brian Urlacher (hamstring) was forced to leave practice Wednesday, July 28, after suffering a hamstring injury. He walked under his own power to a cart and then was driven off the field. He's set to undergo an MRI Thursday, July 29. "He got a pretty good pull," said general manager Jerry Angelo. "We'll know more (Thursday). (I'm) not really optimistic that it's going to be something that's going to be a few days. (It will be) probably a little longer than that. We'll see for sure (Thursday)."

I don't think it was fortune that reduced our injuries. The training procedures brough in by BP deserves all the credit. The lack of injuries is by design.
This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

Big Dog, we lost Bickerstaff for the year in mini camp . Woody - just how did he hurt his back in offseason? Dedric Ward got hurt in his debut work out. We lost DiNapoli for most of tc.
The training procedures seem to have some effect on injuries like hammies, but we already are down four players in the offseason..

I'm afraid I'm jinxing the Cowboys by saying this, but I think we're going to get hit hard by the injury bug this year. Last year was just too peaceful. Teams around us were losing starters left and right and we barely had any scrapes. Odds are we've got some bad ones coming this year.

There are no jinxes, so don't worry.
But I hope the reason why Bill and JJ left a few days early for Oxnard is that they are walking every inch of that facility, over and over, singing "Tomorrow" to each other, and painstakingly searching for every divet the circumference of a mole hair.
Tc is long awaited but a necessary evil!

Particularly scary for some positions ie: CB.
There is no formula for success except an unconditional acceptance of life and what it brings.

We've had more than our share the last 5 years before last year. The year before last we were playing OLmen off the street. Before that we couldn't keep our WRs healthy. Last year was a welcome break. Hopefully, we won't be decimated this year.

Woody's back has been a problem for a while, they just finally decided to do surgery cause it wasn't getting any better..why they waited until training camp to do it, I don't know...Dedric was already injured..
I think we were very fortunate not to have as many injuries last year, especially from the QB position. I just hope that the injury bug stays away from the o-line, we've had bad luck there for about 2 or 3 years now.

Exactly. I was hoping he would have some surgery at the start of the off-season. Back surgery is pretty major though. I guess Woody wanted to see if some RR would fix him up first.

Brown Sugar, interesting.
So are you saying Darren's had a back problem before this offseason? I did not know that. Has he been playing in pain?
Dedric supposed hurt his foot in his first work out for Dallas, which was reported to have occured after he passed the team physical. Are you saying he was signed with the foot fracture? That would mean he knew about it and hid it, or confided it and it was felt to be a minor consideration overall.
