unsubstantiated trade rumor
NFL player's agent Chris Brunell was just on Austin radio. He said the Cowboys were working the phones trying to make a trade for a "big name" CB. He said one is a "two time Superbowl winner", and if they cant land him then they are trying to work out a trade for a "former Longhorn" CB.

The 2 time Super Bowl winner would be Ty Law.
McKenzie went to Memphis. Other than Jammer who is a Longhorn CB that might interest the team?
BTW, not sure I buy this rumor, but fun to speculate.

Jammer, Newman, Roy, Woodson
But at what cost?
"Young man, when you throw a strike, Mr. Hornsby will let you know."
Bill Klem when a pitcher questioned a called ball to Rogers Hornsby.

But the Chargers have no receivers. Would you send Jammer to Dallas for Antonio Bryant and Hunter?

Besides Jammer the only other CB from UT still active is Nathan Vasher. He is only a rookie though. I may be forgetting someone though.

Rod Babers is on Detroit and Ahmad Brooks is on the Saints.
Jammer, 3rd year
Babers, 2nd
Brooks, 2nd
Vasher, rookie
Hard to imagine any of them on the trade block.

Damn you. I was just coming to post that. I can't imagine any of them being involved in a trade either.

The "Lindy's" Bible was close at hand and I thumbed through it.
We're probably speculating over nothing.

If this isn't a hose then I'd think it would be Ty Law or Jammer based on what that agent supposedly said. So what does Dallas have to offer? Bryant, draft choices, combination of both? Or would they consider a CB plus another draft choice in return for whatever they are offering? Hmmmm. I find it difficult to believe they would unload Bryant RIGHT NOW...unless there's another receiver out there they think they can trade for somehow. Maybe a mutli-team thing. Hmmmm again.
