Cowboy Star Outlawed
I just saw a report on FOX News that said the Cowboys Star has been outlawed in Oxnard Cal.. It appears some local street gang uses the logo as part of their gang sign. But Oxnard officals will not stop the Cowboys from wearing the star or evidently the Cowboy fans who attend camp.

Well Parcells may not let some of the guys wear the star but the Oxnard officals are not going to stop them. For Cowboy fans who do attend when you not around practice be careful out and about

The only people who have been barred from wearing Cowboys stuff are gang members. If you're not a gang member, it's not illegal.

I understand that. Now if you a fan who went to practice and now out on the town wearing the logo how do the police know if your a gang member or not?, also being mistaken from another gang member who may want to do harm. I really posted more out of the oddity of the report but also to tell my fellow Cowboy fans to be careful

The law applies only to known gang members -- it's a court injunction against specific people. If a known gang member is seen wearing Cowboys stuff, the police can serve him an injunction. After that, he can be arrested for violating the injunction. If you're not already a known member of the Colina Chiques, the only way you could be served a copy of the injunction is to be hanging out with known members.

That's what Cowboys fans should be worried about, if they wander into a rival gang's territory.

Thanks for the extra info, as I said I posted it because of the oddity of the story but also to let my fellow Cowboy fans know for their own safety

All these gangs. I am scared to get dressed every morning. I sure hope they don't start wearing sweater vests.

101, we've had several threads on this for the past month or so.
Oxnard evidently thought long and hard about the problem as the solution includes a curfew, a tactic no comnunity likes to take.
This article from June 25 was a pretty good warning of what to expect..
