I seriously doubt Carter gets cut. I expect him to play out his contract.

i think that Carter stays the starter(hey that rymes) and he has the best year of his career and proves all doubters that he is capable of palyin like and NFL QB and takes us deep into the playoffs

Carter has done nothing to be warranted "uncutable". If he had the backup mentality, then he might be a backup. Problem is, when he makes comments like he did Saturday, it becomes obvious that he will not be a backup QB happily. That lends to the possibility he could be released or traded if Vinny starts. That's why what Carter said Saturday (about being the starter) may come back to bite him in the end.

There is no way Romo would be the primary back up to a non-mobile 40+ QB, even if Dallas had the best pass protection OL in the league, which they don't. If Vinny wins the QB derby, Q will stay for the year as insurance. After the season is another issue . . .

actually, that deep pass by vinny that is mentioned here was almost intercepted!!! i thought thats what we were trying to avoid, seeing as how we were 9-0 last year when we had a positive takeaway ratio.
