willie blade?
can someone tell me why we released willie blade , wasnt he supposed to be our startin dt. and are we looking to sign any other players before the start of the season.

Because he is fat, out of shape and can not run, plus he said he gets paid to play football not work in the off season.
He failed the Giants conditioning test, heard some reports say he could barley run at all. What a WASTE! |

Because he said he was "paid to play football and not workout" or something like that to the wrong guy on the Cowboys organization.
Basically, he was out of shape, overweight, and BP thought he wouldn't be able to contribute. I think he was subsquently cut by the Giants after 1 day at their TC, and then picked up by Jacksonville. |

On the local news here last night, they were talking to Dexter about his new "janatorial" job, and he said that it's pretty easy to keep the vet locker room clean because the slob of the group is no longer here...they asked Greg Ellis who that was and he said no comment, the newsguy then said Blade, Greg says: "Willie, I didn't say it."
