Default 8/3 morning mickey

mickey ranch report - 8/03 AM

- dunham and miller (one of the two) said he had taked to an 'insider' who said henson has looked like the best QB, and that Romo looked like ***. Mickey semi-confirmed. said henson has looked the part. and agreed that Romo has been awful.
- any worries about henson's delivery seem to be unfounded. mickey said he has worked on it, and the delivery is fast.
- campbell has some knee cartiledge issue. really the only injury.
- newman is volunteering for more duties.... returner, WR - whatever they will let him do. he wants to do more to earn his check. (he is a refreshing athelete). mickey said newman doesn't like bill calling him 'not thick'.

Hutchinson had to go, but he was the more talented QB than Romo IMO

I agree. Romo should have been the one to go. I don't understand BP's fascination with the guy. Does he really expect to groom the next Rich Gannon or Brad Johnson? It's gonna be awhile for that to happen. BP will be long gone.

I do not dispute that, but he really should be. The problem is, he is only marginaly more talented and made signifigantly more money.

Those two combined are the reasons Hutch isn't here anymore.

Romo is going to be on the practice squad or not here at all.

If Romo is cut and not picked up I predict he'll try to join the PGA.

I'll predict that at the end of the TC, that everybody in management is "really" impressed with Romo.

IMHO....Romo was kept not because he has superior physical skills then Hutch....but because he hasn't asked Bill "Whats my role"

Bill like's his mental makeup....even though his arm isn't very strong...he migt have that something....something.

I think Hutch just had to go because of the attitude he showed when he knew he was released.

BP did not like him and there was no more room for him here, especially with the Henson signing. I really don't mind that Hutch was let go instead of Romo, it was the best move.

He thought he should start over QC and he thought he was the same as Henson. Wrong on both accounts! He would have been a problem.

Mickey is probably talking to Cowboys lead scout Jim Garret. Evidently Garret has little Henson teenbeat posters taped above his bed. Garrett told Dale Hanson that Henson starting today would be better than many of the QB's in this league currently starting. Garrett also said he thinks Garrett will be as good, if not better, than Aikman.

Dale Hanson said Henson does have a strange shotput kind of delivery, and he does throw some ugly passes from time to time.

Mickey didn't say that... it was host Craig Miller that said an insider told him about Henson... that being said, it could have been Garrett...

Mickey only answered that with the fact he thought Henson has looked pretty good...

Good one Charlie,
I figure it won't be long before all the QB's we have outshine Carter...Who IMHO was the worst passer in the NFL last year...

Jerry did come out & say he played last year because of the poor Oline and his mobilty...

Now Parcells confirms...He doesn't beleive in "Incumbants"

I think Vinny starts and gives us our best chance to win as of now...

I aplologize if you've already been over this, but can you explain how the worst passer in the NFL was 12th in passing yardage?
