Haven't heard much. I am still thinking he starts. Hopefully, he gets it together mentally this year. I am beginning to think this guy is far from a rocket scientist.

BTW, do you guys think Blade may have been who BP was talking about when he said a sophmore that didn't get it. I think it was actually Willie's third year, but he had only actually played one.

Oh yeah, alot of people thought he was talking about Gurode. I was leaning that way myself.

He still could have been. But we'll find out if he's not starting or is 3rd on the depth chart.

everyone thought it was Gurode or Bryant, both of them are here and contributing...it was obviously Blade, who was so bad he didnt even get a chance to go to camp to win a spot on the team

Gurode wont be 3rd on the depth charts this yr and barring injury right now it seems very unlikely anyone could beat him out...

he was never as bad as people on here continually make him out to be

It was nice to hear Parcells quickly name Andre Gurode as a player who could breakthrough this year like Hotel Adams did in '03.

But the fact remains Parcells replaced Gurode in a December game against Philadelphia with the NFC East title at stake.

And he did it with a one legged right tackle who'd never played guard before.

Parcells' actions speak louder than any fan's criticism, IMO.

Big things were expected of Gurode last year and he was an utter disappointment, one of the biggest on the team, pun intended.

I hope Gurode understands things better this year and he starts to play up to his ability level.

He can be a dominant player if things click.

Gurode could be in Hawaii in a couple of years. I still think this guy is the real deal. I am also anxious to see more of him or hear more of him during the preseason.

If the right side can play well, the defense won't be watching the left side so much.

This is a team who is battling several major injuries to
key players including Pro Bowl talents like Lee, Austin, Jenkins, Murray,
Carter and Ratliff. Other key starters missing include Costa, Smith, Church and
Coleman. That is 11 key players - that's half the starting lineup. Yet we still went 8-8.

No, not Gurode, Blade. Read closer.
