Default After watching the Pro Bowl coverage. Re: Irvin

I gotta admit, Irvin has been getting a hell of alot of credit during this Pro Bowl pregame.

Seems like everyone is saying (without saying) that he deserves to be in the HoF but this year was just too competitive.

There have been comments that it's almost a foregone conculsion that he'll get in next year.

I hope so.

Lets face it. Irvin is a pro bowler.

He is a go to guy for ESPN already and gets juicy interviews and tons of coverage. Reporters have no reason to get on his bad side because he has real value to them now as he did when he played.

No matter the off field stuff the guy is still likable.

You see his face every week and hear his voice even more often than that.

No one is forgetting Michael Irvin come next year. He honesty probably would have been a 1st ballot guy had folks not wanted to put him in with Troy then he faced a tough, tough class. Irvin has always been a star among stars and he'll be in easily next year provided he stays on the up and up.
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
We just converted half our LB to DL. We have a 30m starting DL, it better be pretty friggin good.

If he got in this year, it would have been his second shot, not 1st ballot.

Butt I actually had more of a porblem with him not getting in in year one than this year. In his first year of eligibility, there were six finalists, an donly four were accepted. This year was pretty tough.

I have a pretty good feeiling about next year also though.

Nice to see it being acknowledged (even in a roundabout way).

Yea I said he would have gotten in 1st ballot in all likelihood if guys had not wanted to wait one year and place him in with Troy.
