Question We have a TO-Zone; Do we need a Drew-Henson-Zone?
Wow! We've gone from having thread-after-thread about TO a couple of weeks ago to having thread-after-thread about Drew Henson. Do we need a seperate message board for that also?

No, I don't think so. While not every opinion on Henson is pro, I also don't think there nearly as divisive as the opinions on TO one way or the other. To me, it's just good football discussion.

I'm not truly suggesting a Henson-Zone get created; I'm more-so just pking fun at the fact that we even needed a TO-Zone and I'm using the recent excitement over Henson as part of my diabolicle ploy to get my message across that player-specic zones are a bit unecessary. I was thinking that was gonna happen. But then I thought... what about when the season starts... its gonna be a seasonal zone... so to speak LOL

Just a thought for the mod's... maybe do a Henson zone while we are closely monitoring him in NFLE.... might be a good way to promote a topic without fear of filling up the main board... anyways... my passing thoughts...

Its just too slow in the offseason to start breaking down the major stories into their own zones.

Exactly. I mean, other than Henson discussion, and maybe some draft, what else is really there to talk about right now? Its not like Henson is being discussed just for the heck of it.

Its because he is in NFL Europe and is doing good. If it was Romo there in instead of Henson, and he was doing good, I am 100% sure we will all be talking about Romo and his potential right now ( or those who don't like him, probably bashing him about his opponents etc.)

Some of the Henson stuff is really getting out of hand though, posts suggesting that he was 'cheated' and the such.

i don't like all the separate "zones". i prefer one-stop shopping...

Fair enough, but in the TO Zone case it was absolutely necessary at the time.

It was a unique situation that basically blew up the board, making it extremely difficult to get any other type of info. The combination of differing options and the insistence of some posters in starting new threads to answer old threads just made the site un-navigatable for a few days. The temporary extra Zone was a major help in cleaning up the mess.

Heads have cooled, and we're back to the regular off-season grind, so its not really needed anymore, but it wasn't the least bit unnecessary at the time IMO.

I can understand that, in general, player specific forums are a bit over the top, but in this case it was sort of an emergency situation ( if you'll pardon the exaggeration there).

Te board was being flooded with TOness and needed to be bailed before it sank. Consider the temporary TO Zone as the bilge pump.

The TO Zone was created for one reason only. The news of his coming exploded web site traffic. There was no possible way to control it.
