06 draft = no o-lineman
You guys want to rethink these now or later?
It is worth mentioning now I believe.
Carp= not yet b/c I think we needed good depth at LB
Fasano=Oline pick
Hatcher=Oline pick
Green=Oline pick

Well TE's split their time between the line and the skills guys at practice. They are blocking a large percentage of the time.

TE is an o-line position.
C, G, T, and TE are the O-line positions.
Any fan who knows anything will tell you that.

now you're just being mean. however, before going into the draft i was furious the best we could go in FA was kosier. we didn't even try for the "big ticket" names.
i was roasted pretty hard by many and now it's almost in vogue to see that we have OL problems and BP didn't do anything to address it. well, anything that had a solid chance of working anyway.
flo will be back - i heard. we'll be fine! it doesn't seem to matter to this "we'll be fine" crowd that flo has never and never will be an anchor on an OL yet, we *need* him back. well, we got him - anyone happy with his performance to date? average comes to mind, but certainly no "anchor" we need.
who else is out there??? i'd say we took a flyer all over the board in the draft *except* for a huge position of need in the OL.
to date the only bright spot in our OL is gurode played well enough to upset haynesworth, which is more than i thought would have happened but certainly not enough.
in all the line isn't doing "pathetic" but bledsoe sure is making it look that way. then again it would also help a lot of jjones could pick up a blitz every now and then.
in all, the OL "is what it is" - a patchwork of hope and no anchor to solidify it. we've seen what a "decent" team can do to it now and while i was slowly backing off after the 1st 3 weeks, we saw what we have yesterday and it ain't pretty.

Wouldn't be playing now anyway. Just dumb.
By the way, we got the Hotels replacement already on the team in McQ.
And Proctor is apparently the guy that will replace Rivera. So what is the point of drafting any one high now?
Gurode has shown finally that he is a real center. Columbo is doing well and improving. Up till now Kosier was doing pretty good as well. One not so good game is no reason to give up on him. So frankly your whole thread is without logic.

Fasano sure is playing like an O-lineman!
The guy's not even a factor in the passing game.
He had one pass thrown in his direction while in heavy coverage.
If that's all he was drafted for (which I don't think is the case), it was a poor draft choice.
"I don't understand it Stephen, it's opening day 2014, where is everybody?"

Gurode hardly ever blocked Haynesworth. It was mostly Kosier on him.

ice, as usual you seem to have a little trouble with the facts. Which are as follows: There was no one we could have gotten that had any chance of starting now. ALso, JJ and MB have done as good a job as any backs have at picking up blitzes- sure they are going to whiff now and then- who doesn't?But then that would not fit into your agenda would it? Sorry to spoilt it with a few facts.

great, so a 6th round draft pick who looks like he played too much 'deliverance' as a kid in the mountains is going to replace flo. 1st of all that's not proven, just speculation in as much as henson is gonna replace "vet to be named later" any minute now. let's let it happen before we haul off and do the happy dance.
2nd - people refusing to put quality into the line either via draft OR FA will continue to see patchwork results like we have now. if we had a more mobile qb this would have *some* merit. but we don't and Bp isn't gonna change that. he knew his boys limitations long ago and didn't do enough to protect him. see yesterdays HOLY HELL look on his face the whole game as a point of reference.
our OL sucks. you can LA LA LA it away all you want but it still sucks.

Keep blaming the Oline.
Or you could try watching the game.
Hint: 7 sacks does not automatically = bad Oline play.
Although, it will give those with an axe to grind about the Oline venue to complain, like they knew this was coming. Because 3 sacks in 3 games combined with one of the league's best running games was certainly giving them no ammo up to this point.

The only logic is 3 of our first 4 picks are useless and our line sucks. Maybe one or 3 of those picks could have been a lineman. At least the hole between TO and TG would have been addressed.

you miss my ragging on jjones for missing the blitz quite frequently?
the line had done better than i thought they would to date, but we've still got 12 games to go and the 1 good team that came through here to date didn't even stop to tell them hello yeterday - they went straight for drew.
