Troy Smith... 6'1", 215, is not too short for the type of QB and skills he brings to the game. If you are talking about plugging in another Parcells type QB, then no, he doesn't fit the bill, but if you're talking about a big time QB who can read defenses, make the throws, and has great mobility on top of it and is performing well this year, then Troy Smith is the man.
But let's not forget that Brady Quinn came back from a horendous start last night, led his team to victory from 16 points down in the 4th, and finished with over 300 passing and 5 tds to only 1 int, so Quinn is still at the top of most people's boards, I believe.

I predict at the Combines, when he gets officially measured, that he won't be 6'1".

Well, that's a safe bet since hardly anyone is ever as big, strong, or fast as advertised...I'm sure Joe Montana probably didn't have great measurables either.
I think Quinn and Smith will both make it in the NFL...usually when people start looking at the lower echelon QB's who have strong arms or play in a fun and gun style, and raise them up to the guys from the big schools, it's usually a mistake.
College football is the minor leagues, and there's no substitute for a starting QB who won and put up numbers against the top competition, imo.
Keep your eye on Booty of USC...stronger arm than Leinart, sat and learned, now immediately successful with USC and has 2 years to get ready for the NFL. I'll take guys in programs like that any day over a guy with better measurables from a small school.

Troy Smith won't even be 6 feet at the combine.

I agree. And he won't be a good pro, either.

Brady Quinn for several reasons.
First of all I want to say I could care less how he plays the rest of the season. He is the best pro prospect at QB. That includes you too Drew Stanton.
2nd of all hes had two years under Charlie Weiss. That a plus in my mind for any QB.
3rd hes familiar with the terminology of our team. It would be about as easy of a transition to the NFL as he could possibly ask for.
That bein said im not 100% sold on him but im a lot more sold on him than anyone else.

Also Troy Smith = Seneca Wallace on a good team.
Seneca Wallace might even be more talented than him.

Yeah but that one play was pretty extraordinary.
He had a off week no doubt but they won and that's all that counts.
You're right thought next week has to be better.

He's Donovan McNabb, with more mobility and better accuracy

6'1" is very generous. He is barely 6 feet.
