Anyone for Samardzija?
Let's say T.O. is gone after this year. I know, it is far fetched; after all, he has established himself in the organization's heart and the fans seem to love him. The only way I think he is not on the roster next year is if he goes driving thru the 'hood with Davis this offseason and takes a 9mm for Killer.
But, what if?
Would Samardzija be a good pick up? He should be available late in the first round. He has good hands and great size. A little slow, maybe, but has a possession receiver, that would be alright.
No way Johnson or Ginn will be there when we pick.
(Yes, I love ND football)

Let's see what he runs at the combine. I think he will have slow times. Also he needs to decide if he wants to play football or baseball.

TO will be there. Parcells will not be. We will have the opportunity to hire a coach than can actually coach the top players in the league instead of cutting them, benching them or cussing at them through the media.
T.O. is not a traditionally reciever. He is the best in the game at beating people across the field to get open, not down the field where double coverage can contain him.
Maybe parcells will figure this out at some point, but he hasn't yet.
Overall, Parcells has failed miserable.

I think he will too. He's pitching prospect. Those guys are pulling down like 10 to 12 million a year if your just average these days.

He is a play maker and is 6 foot 5 or 6 if he declared for the nfl I would take him in the 2nd or 3rd round

After the Cubs ruin his baseball career, I predict a return to the gridiron around 2010.

For an overrated ND team.
Did he make ANY plays in the UM or USC game?

Yeah, by that time, he can become the next QB of the Dallas Cowboys.

He is going to try and play both. He will certainly be one of the top receivers in the draft. He was expected to go in the mid-first round if he played football only, but playing both, it may be late first or early second. He is avery good receiver and will certainly be worth the pick. He is a pitcher, so his baseball schedule will not be grueling.
By the way, just because someone posts something, doesn't necessarily make it true. Samardzija is not overrated. He is a playmaker. All you have to do is watch him play.

There is no way any baseball team is going to let one of its pitchers go out and get smacked around 20+ weeks a year. None, it aint happening. He is going to play one or the other.
