NORMAN, Okla. -- True freshman Adrian Peterson rushed for 183 yards and two touchdowns as the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners downed the Oregon Ducks, 31-7, at Memorial Stadium.
Jason White completed 17-of-23 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown for the Sooners (3-0), who won their 16th consecutive home game.
Kellen Clemens was 24-of-35 passing for 179 yards and a score for the Ducks (0-2), who have dropped two straight to start a season for the first time since 1992.
Peterson, who carried ball 24 times, has rushed for at least 100 yards in each of his first three games. Donta Hickson added a 25-yard TD run for Oklahoma, which simply wore down the Ducks' defense after they kept it close for most of three quarters.
