well both have unresolved roster bonus issues (large amounts as well)...both are coming off some injury...both are over 30
Henry was dinged up some, otherwise the above doesnt apply to our starting CB's

My thinking was a top flight CB would give us a lot of options.
If Henry gets dinged up again (it's been 2 consecutive years running now), we'd have a replacement. Or, if the rookie can come in and play right away, we could always move Henry to FS, for example.
Also, this is probably Glenn's final year as our nickel CB (I'm guessing) given his age. So, we'd have some options in place for that contingency as well.
I just think that given this is such a deep WR class, a good one could be had (and developed) later on in the Draft.

interesting #s on Aundre Allison
from the #s I have here, so far he had the fastest 10-yard and 20-yard dash times of the WRs
10-yard: 1.43
20-yard: 2.46
that's in addition to his 4.39 40 and 10'07" broad-jump, as well as catching everything in sight in drills

plus if we're going to be using Newman in the slot, we're going to need a more physical corner than Aaron Glenn outside

I doubt that Allan will be around in the seventh. I've never seen him play but there were supposedly a few people scrambling for Whitworth tapes after he had one of the better combines amongst the TEs.

As an alternative, maybe K. Boss out of W. Oregon?

I doubt we see Newman wasting away on 3rd and 4th WR's who line up in the slot anymore
the boneheads that were responsible for that are gone

Did we move Henry to safety cause if we didn't then we have to either draft a safety or a wide reciver in the first round.

You can post mocks here or in the draft zone. If you post them in the draft zone, they'll stay there with no problem. If you post them anywhere in the Fan Zone other than this thread, it'll be merged into this thread.
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

No we haven't. Also, I think Pat Watkins is our FS.

I know, and I ment, I think Pat Watkins is our FS... so we don't need to draft another one. Meaning, I want Pat Watkins at FS not somebody else. I think that was my fault for the confusion there. My Bad.

Two Major Assumptions:
1. We re-sign Colombo, and
2. We sign an OG in FA
Round 1
C. Houston, CB, Arkansas (alt. A. Ross, CB, Texas)
Round 2
L. Woodley, OLB, Michigan
Woodley would play OLB in Wade's 34
Round 3
A. Allison, WR, E. Carolina (alt. P. Williams, WR or S. Smith, WR USC)
Round 4
Doug Free, OT, N. Illinois
Free would be groomed to play LT and would provide some depth along with McQuisten. Think Free could also play either OT position, giving us some versatility.
Round 5
J. Beck, QB, BYU
Beck would be brought along slowly, like Romo. Hopefully, we pick up a solid veteran QB in FA for Beck to learn from.
Round 6
A. M Wrotto, OG, Georgia Tech [View Full Quote]Wrotto needs development work at OG, but he has the tools. Assuming we sign an OG in FA, Wrotto could be given a year or two to improve his skills.
B. P. Soliai, NT, Utah
Soliai competes versus M. Stanley as a back-up to Fergy.
Round 7
A. Nate Ilaoa, RB, Hawaii
Robert Newhouse's stature. He appears to have some receiving skills as well. I don't know if he lasts this long, but I thought I'd throw him in here.
B. J. Ford, LB, Central Arkansas
Again, this may be too late for him. But basically taking another LB prospect who Wade can groom for his defense.
C. M. Allan, TE, Whitworth
Had 53 receptions for 1,100 yards for a 20.8 avg (and 9 TDs). Maybe could also be used as an H-Back?
Feedback welcome.
Not sure if several of these players will last this long, but please feel free to give alternatives.

You wouldn't happen to have the measurables and combine times of these players, or if anyone could post them?
