Sidney Rice in the 2nd round is an absolute steal
I cant believe this guy might actually drop that far.
If you ever watched him in College you would think there is no way he drops out of the top 15.
He runs good routes, has good hands, hes just a well polished receiver in my opinion.
He never had a good QB throwing him the ball in College and he drew just as much attention on Saturdays as Calvin Johnson.

I wouldnt be surprised if he made to the early 2nd, but unless something else is going on we dont know about I really doubt he'd make it to where we pick in round two
if he did I'd jump all over him though...he's gonna be a good one in a couple of seasons

Well, in my mock, I projected a trade down out of the first round. If we could pick up additional early picks in the 2nd/3rd rounds, I think we could potentially come away with a guy like Rice and maybe a pretty nice pass rusher or OT prospect. JMO.

Yeah, both Higgins and Jason Hill could easily be added to that list. There are a lot of guys available this year.

Sidney Rice is better on the field than Meachem ever thought about being.

I agree, I have watched Rice quite a bit and at one point he was thier only legit pass reciever on the team as the other WR was asked to play QB. Rice was often if not always double teamed and he still had moster games. I recall some games where the QB would have 12 completions at a point in the game and I look to see who had the receptions and Rice always had 75% of them, and the defense knew he was the only threat. Rice is a good player regardless of his 40 time, I believe he will be a very good player. Spurrier had said Rice had the potential to be the best WR he has ever coached...

If we don't take a WR in the first round, I'd hope he'd fall to us, he's one of the three WRs I really liked coming into this draft, besides the obvious Calvin Johnson, which we have no shot in hell at.

I think you're right. And I've seen him play a lot. Not sure he's the brightest guy but I think he'll be at least average and likely better. He doesn't have Randy Moss speed and I'm wondering how much speed will hurt him in the pros.
Spurrier was very upset about his leaving. He would have been a higher pick if he'd waited and Spurrier tried to tell him. Of course Spurrier wanted him back for obvious reasons as well.
Did you know there are only 5000 Snow Leopards in the wild now and they are confined to Central Asia? However, the effective global population (those likely to reproduce) is less than half that number.

He runs in the mid-4.5's and decided not to run at the SC Pro Day, which NFL scouts took as a lack of competitiveness. Because, and lets be honest, he needed to at least attempt to improve those numbers.
He's probably never going to be better than a Reggie Wayne-type number two who can't carry a load by himself. My opinion, of course.

He actually ran a 4.52 which is much slower than I expected. Was he hurt at the combine or was his 4.3 to 4.2 speed just an overexaggeration?
