Another gem.
Why not tell us that Sean Taylor can actually cover me while you're at it!

Okay, sorry, I didn't know Colombo signed a two year, I thought it was one. And please, elaborate, why is Cooley worse then Witten? San Fran's top three CBs (I didn't say secondary) ARE better then yours. Nate Clements > Newman and Walt Harris is WAY better then Glenn.

I aim to please.
I'm sorry, but if you think there is an NFL team anywhere that would take Cooley over Witten you're simply deluded. I like the kid, but man, be serious.

Clements and Newman are debatable. Henry is the 2nd corner, not Glenn.
But if you would be so kind, why are Clements, Harris, and the unnamed 3rd corner better than the 'boys trio?
Thank you to all donated to the Jason Witten Camp drive!

Because those guys aren't Cowboys and our trio are.

You aim to please me??? Wow, full service... Thanks
Okay, again, I ask, why do you think that? I mean, unless you know that for a fact (as in, you personally talked to every GM), tell me why.

And maybe he likes the fact that San Fran has red (similar to burgundy) in their uniforms colors.

Career 252 2838 11.3 42 14 Witten
Career 314 3609 11.5 59 24 Shockey
Career 165 1822 11.0 66 19 Cooley
Pretty much even at that look. Then you look closer
G C YD AV L TD FD
2004 WAS 16 37 314 8.5 31 6 23 Cooley
2005 WAS 16 71 774 10.9 32 7 44
2006 WAS 16 57 734 12.9 66 6 33
2002 NYG 15 74 894 12.1 30 2 49 Shockey
2003 NYG 9 48 535 11.1 46 2 29
2004 NYG 15 61 666 10.9 38 6 32
2005 NYG 15 65 891 13.7 59 7 46
2006 NYG 15 66 623 9.4 25 7 37
2003 DAL 15 35 347 9.9 36 1 18 Witten
2004 DAL 16 87 980 11.3 42 6 44
2005 DAL 16 66 757 11.5 34 6 40
2006 DAL 16 64 754 11.8 42 1 37
And you see how remarkably steady Wittens production has been over the last 3 years.

Good question, Philo

Anyway, you never know how the ball will bounce so we'll have to wait & see. Winning builds confidence and that will be key for this year's team. A great draft is needed and Romo needs to continue to grow. In today's NFL, of course, anything can happen. Are we ready to take on the Colts and Patriots of this league THIS year? Thoughts?

If the weak sisters New Orleans Saints can become Super Bowl contenders last year, I certainly think the Cowboys can take that step this year.
If the wheels had not come off of the Boys defense last year, we would have gone deep into the playoffs.
Yes, the Cowboys are SB contenders.
The Bears, like the Seattle Seasucks last year, will falter badly in the regular season this coming year and the Saints will become their old selves again.
Look for the Cowboys and Bears to battle it out in the NFC championship and the Cowboys to match up against the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Clements is better. 16 passes defensed, 3 INTs and 1 TD. Newman; 11 passes defensed, 1 INT and 0 TDs. So in what way is Newman better?
Harris is the number three corner, so I was comparing #3 to #3. But Harris IS better then Henry BTW, but Spencer is their #2. Henry may be better (I'm not sure, I didn't watch enough 9ers games to know) then Spencer but the difference between Glenn and Harris more then makes up for it.

Now I see your problem, it's basic math:
You claim that San Fran's 3 corners are better than Dallas' and then mention 2?!?!?
And you claim that Cooley (who couldn't block me) is better than Pro Bowler Jason Witten when numbers say otherwise?
The fact is that you obviously know next to nothing about the subject you're trying to talk about.
Get your facts straight before you try to chime in next time.

The reason Wittens td production went down is that we used MB3 as the guy down on the goal line.

Clements stats look better. Newman real stats - based on KC Joyners matrix and accepted by intelligent people outside of skin fans- is much better because Newman was not thrown at nearly as much as clement was. Newman allowed fewer catches, fewer tds, a lower completion rate. In every way that matters outside of BSPN highlights Newman is a much better CB.
