So let me get this straight, the rain will affect the Cowboys' running game more than the Skins? I must be mistaken, I thought it was Portis who had the fumbling problem and not Eddie George.

The Cowboys should win this game. It's not a lock, road games never are. I think the Redskins are going to have a real tough time on offense, though. I expect a close, low scoring game, something like 10-3 or 14-7.

RFK ? hmmm...... Typical.
We average 4.1 yards per rushing attempt, same as you. We also have the #1 offense in the league, unlike you. So how is your running game more affective?

a closer look at the Skins "superior" running game.

They average the same per attempt, as I already stated.

In 67 attempts, they have 12 first downs and 1 run longer then 20 yards.

In 49 attempts (18 fewer), we have 14 first downs(two more) and 1 run longer then 20 yards(the same).

It looks like we have the better running game to me.

No ... you just look foolish to throw that out there when you are trying to make a point even though we haven't played in that stadium for almost 10 yrs.

If it's raining and the field is in poor condition it favors the cowboys. Period.

Eddie George in good weather conditions averages around 3.5 yards per carry. Eddie George on a bad field averages 3.5 yards per carry. Poor weather doesn't effect his running style. He's MADE for poor weather. Portis on the other hand does not have a running style that excels in poor weather conditions.

Plus, our OL vs the Skins DL... nuff said. I'm hoping for a bad weather game. Not only would it favor the cowboys, but it'll help take the crowd out of the game as well. Plus, a QB with a bad hammy running around on a wet, slippery field? You do the math.

If the weather is good the cowboys will probably lose. If it's bad weather the cowboys go home 2-1.

Well, it's not just a name, it's a location. RFK is actually in DC, SE, to be exact. FedEx Field is in Md, Landover, that is. Aside from that, FedEx Field has yet to live up to the reputation that RFK had developed. Regardless of the name, the stadiums are very different, & the fact that someone made that error, just makes it funny...& typical.

Please tell me you're kidding! You're hinging your "superiority" in the running game over us on THAT??

Why don't you re-read the post in question again dimwit.

If this was anywhere but RFK, it would be a rout.

This says you guys have sucked since the RFK days.

Portis doesn't and never did have a fumbling problem, so unless you have proof to back up this ridiculous statement I suggest you do a little more research when talking about players.

Portis has 2 runs of 20 or more.
Brunnell has 1.
2+1 = 3 last time I checked....

I've never contended we're superior in the running game...somebody wanted to know who had our long run, and I responded

Portis is a tremendous talent, definitely better than anything we have at RB...I like Ladell Betts too, he might be better than anything we have too...but our RB's arnt running against your RB's...I think Dallas has a better OL, QB and the WR's/TE's are a slight edge to us as well, because we have 3 quality WR's and 2 really good TE's, inlcuding one who might end up in the probowl this year...

obviously a Redskins fan will say I am biased, but I see Dallas having better talent and depth on the OL, WR, TE and DL...I see the Redskins being better at RB and LB and the teams DB's either close or a slight edge to you guys right now, even though I think Newman and Roy Williams are better than any iddv redskins DB's, but as a group I like the Skins DB's and think they are better coached...at QB I think VT is better right now than Brunell is, something thats been proven so far on the field...special teams could have the deciding factor in this game, and I dont trust our kicker at all...

I think the biggest mismatch is Joe Gibbs vs Mike Zimmer, Zimmer more often than not comes up with some real clunker game plans vs the really good offensive coaches, and tonight might be more of the same...

It hinges on the fact that our OL is better.

you claim to have a better running game simply because you average more yards per game. Who cares? You average the same per carry, and have managed fewer first downs running even with way more attempts.

Just watch what happens tonight. We upgraded from Hambrick.
