He goes on to call Noam Chomsky "among one of the most capable of those from your own side," and mentions global warming and "the Kyoto accord."

Riiightttt. And I'm sure OBL wouldn't execute Chomsky if he had the chance; I mean it's not like he hates jews or anything. And if he was so very concerned about global warming, hows about not flying airliners full of fuel and such into our biggest skyscrapers? Imagine the carbon credits needed to offset that little cleanup and rebuilding project. Not buying what your selling, Uncle Osama.

Why should anyone take anything a mass murderer says seriously unless its about who he wants to kill next? This piece of garbage happily ordered the death of 3000 people- all innocent- and is proud of it. And wants to do it again only with more dead. And some here are actually trying to say that we should listen to his garbage about taxes, etc?

If Bush had put in as much effort and troops into getting Bin-Laden as he did Saddam...we wouldn't even be talking about Bin-Laden now.

But since he didn't...here we are every 9/11 hearing from him again.

You did a great job Bushy.

No but he is the one that caused 9/11...so I think just maybe...you'd want to get him before Saddam.

After all Saddam had *Nothing* to do with 9/11.

I thought it was called "the war on terror," not the "Searching for Osama War." What kind of threat is Osama when he's hiding in a cave in Pakistan?

There is one theory running around that Osama has been dead for a while and they set up someone to stand in and had it going even before 9/11.
Probably crazy but hey so much other craziness is around....

and i'm not saying going after osama with more force would be "bad" or "unwelcome" or anything of the sort.

i'm just saying it's a war on terror, not a war on osama.

The worry about Saddam was that he had used WMD and had them and had the ability to make more= and could sell/give them to terrorist groups. As bad as they are now, at least they do not have WMDs. One good thing about Iraq is that the really wacked out fanatics that want to kill americans are there and we are killing them there. Since we have to kill them anyway better there then here.

But conversely, would killing Rumsfeld have sent American troops packing?
The war is bigger than one man and killing Osama would not even put a dent in the overall effort.

It would serve as gratification, but the same struggle would continue. It's better to try to squash the overall movement than to focus on one man.
