Hey, I'd like to look into that, got any idea where I can find it?? Is it a bundled feature with Windows XP??
The Microangelo works pretty well, I have a floppy disk full of new icons for my PC... but it is a 21 day evaluation program, and I'd like to find some freeware... I did find a program called PixelToolkit 1.1 over on download.com, it got pretty good reviews from most of the users who commented for stability and ease of use... the latter is particularly important to me, I'm not real strong in the graphics area... Microangelo was pretty easy to use, I just had to convert any jpegs to bitmaps (using Paint) before I could convert them to icons... I'm thinking I'll download PixelToolkit tonight, and play around with it some...
Anyway, now I have a whole batch of icons I can use to customize my desktop... Orioles' logos, both old and new, Cowboys' logos, Longhorns' logos, Virginia Cavaliers' logos and Washington Wizards' logos... even a log for the UTEP Miners...
My biggest problem now is figuring out how on earth to change the icons for the shortcuts to MS Word and MS Excel... for some reason, on Office XP the command to change the icon is shaded (inactive)... earlier versions of Office allowed you to customize the icons... if any of you computer gurus can tell me how to work around that, I'd be even more appreciative...
