Denver Broncos 2008 Draft
• Pick No. 12: Denver Broncos select Ryan Clady, T, Boise State
Pro analysis: Denver must be thrilled. Clady was largely regarded as the No. 2 tackle prospect after Jake Long. Unlike Long, Clady may project better at left tackle with his athletic feet ... he's not the mauler or road grader Long will be. And with Matt Lepsis retired, Clady could immediately become QB Jay Cutler's first line of defense in Denver.
College analysis: Clady was a consistent force in his three seasons with Boise State. He made 37 starts at both left and right tackle and rose to an elite prospect in his junior year. He should be a nice fit for the Broncos because he is athletic, especially from someone that has his size.
• Pick No. 42: Denver Broncos select Eddie Royal, WR, Virginia Tech
Pro analysis: The Broncos take Eddie Royal, a man who could immediately help them on special teams. And with Brandon Marshall's status uncertain following his freak offseason arm injury, Royal could earn a lot of training camp reps alongside Brandon Stokley, Samie Parker and Keary Colbert.
• Pick No. 45: Denver Broncos select Jordon Dizon, LB, Colorado
Pro analysis: Dizon isn't big (about 230 pounds), but the Tampa 2 defense is predicated on linebackers that can move, and Dizon could do that. He could push for time on the outside opposite Ernie Sims
