It's ridiculous, really. They go out and sign a top 3 wide receiver who has been an enigma and causes locker room problems. They sign an injury prone defensive end who is undersized and won't help their pourus run defense.
Then, on the flip side, they lose their starting running back, both starting corners, and the MVP of their defense (weak-side linebacker Carlos Emmons).
Doesn't sound like the recipe for 19-0, if you ask me.

Wishful thinking?
Owens is a problem when they are losing.
Kearse isn't injury prone. 16 games out in 5 years.
They lose their third string HB, both starting corners who were out most of last year, and the MVP of the defense, every year for the past 3 years they released their defense MVP (Trotter, Douglas, Emmons). They still had the 7th ranked defense last year and 2nd (I think) in 2002.
Sounds pretty good. I personally think 13-3 and a loss in the Superbowl, to a team that didn't make the playoffs (don't want to say who, risk of sounding like an idiot).
The thing that annoys me the most is these people who think that Duce was our best HB last year, he wasn't nearly as good as Westbrook and he was about even with Buckhalter.
