I'm figuring the Boys to wind up drafting in the 25-30 range, and Colt will go in the top 10 as things stand right now, that's why I'm packaging picks... if necessary, a future pick might be involved...
Aternatively, I could live with a bit less of a trade up, and drafting Sergio Kindle, OLB, Texas... 6-4, 255 pounds, 4.55 second 40... he'll probably be a top 15 pick...
Then in the 3rd round, I'd go with Myron Rolle, SS, Florida State... 6-2, 216 pounds, 4.5 second 40... we wouldn't have to worry about his ability to learn the playbook, the guy's up for a Rhodes Scholarship...
[View Full Quote]In the 5th, it's Eric Cook, C/OG/OT, New Mexico... 6-6, 316 pounds, 5.2 second 40... he can literally play anywhere along the offensive line...
Moving to the 6th, the Boys claim Quintin Mikell, RB/WR, Virginia... 6-1, 206 pounds, 4.4 second 40... this guy might be the biggest scatback you've ever seen, a good enough receiver that he might even project to WR... and that 4.4 40 time is probably conservative...
Finally, the Boys draft Marion Winn, OT/OG, Texas Tech... 6-6, 325 pounds, 5.25 second 40...
So, whaddaya think??
By that I mean, do you think I'm a sick puppy for being able to answer your question already??

This early on, I can tell you that my beloved Longhorns will be a major factor in next year's draft, with McCoy, Kindle and OT Adam Ulatoski possibly going in the first round, WR Jordan Shipley currently grading as a possible first day pick, C Crhis Hall, DT Lamarr Houston and OLB Rodrick Muckelroy figuring in the 4th to 6th round range, and ILB Jared Norton and K Hunter Lawrence possible late round picks...
FWIW, my "ratings" are all taken from NFL Draft Scout's top 750 for 2010... of course these players' ultimate draft grades will be decided over the coming year...

I agree with you on all your assumptions except for Colt McBoy ...
He isn't an NFL QB and his want to be toughness thing will not translate in the NFL, not for a QB.
It will get him killed.
Give me a polished passer with extreme accuracy like #14 for the Sooners before this INT machine with no passing touch.
