I don't see it happening, but wouldn't be disappointed if it did.
Merriman, Spears and DJ would all be great picks at #11. The problem there is that there's a real possibility all three may be gone by that pick.

IMO, Merriman would be the ideal pick. He's an athlete extrodinaire and could play either DE or OLB, depending on how we wanted to use him. He's a pressure player, meaning that he's going to force teams to account for him big time or he'll be in the QB's face on every pass play.

He'd give Parcells the flexibility that he wants.

DJ is also what Parcells has been asking for... a catalytic player. He's all over the field and he just makes things happen. Parcells would get creative with him and put him in position to use his athletic ability to disrupt. He'd be great at number 11.

Spears has more size and offers the flexibility that Bill wants. He could do a number of things along the DL and could really end up a difference maker.

IMO, Spears is the least attractive of the 3, but still a very good pick at 11.

All three of those players would help the team more than Rolle, IMO and would roam around the line of scrimmage, which is what we need and what Parcells wants, I think.

What I wonder is if Merriman, Spears, DJ, Alex Barron, Mike Williams, and B. Edwards are gone... do we take a player like Rolle if he's by far the best player available on our board? Do we take what I consider to be a second tier player like T. Johnson or T. Williamson? Do we trade back and hope Rolle is there?

Those are questions I have.
