wood, i think you totally mis understand what is happening.the nfl has revenue sharing for there tv deal,regular ticket sales,jerseys,etc now.the players want a bigger chunk of total revenue,and want to include money from other deals a team makes to make money.a good example are those little signs all over texas stadium.that money is jerry's because jerry,not the dallas cowboys,own texas stadium.he is not asking for more money,he simpley does not want to share money that he has figured out how to make on his on and has nothing to do with the nfl as a whole.if small market teams owned there own stadiums they could do the same thing
