That applies to every UT player versus their OU counterparts but it doesn't mean that holds up on the pro level. OU was tossing out 2 first round DL and very likely 6 draftable guys in the front 7.
Besides that, AD would be the first overall pick if he was available right now to be drafted.
I'd be worried if Benson shrunk versus all good teams but that wasn't the case at all. He punished some very good defenses.
I agree that Benson has a limited potential but then again so did Emmitt and all he did was end up the all time leading rusher in history.
But I still don't know what any team saw Thursday night that would have made them comfortable with waiting a round or two for the offensive lineman they wanted. ---Todd McShay
