Dez and Wells on Coop and Nate Show
[View Full Quote]David Wells. That was good stuff from him. I am starting to feel better about this situation. I have seen a lot of people use these kids up once they get famous and are in line for some bread. But the more Wells talks and stays away from those topics the more I buy into the idea that he's just a guy who has seen what the streets can do to kids with no structure. I know people from all walks of life though and it's ultimately up to Dez to follow the right paths.
Great stuff as usual DC, thanks buddy, a bunch of you with the videos really made my day today.
Very impressive comments about Romo commanding the huddle. This is more and more stuff that I like to see about Romo, woohoo! I cant wait till one day if romo needs too and someone doesnt make the block he should and Romo grabs them by the jersey like Aikman did with Lincoln Coleman did in one game and says your not going to mess this us, play your rear end off and get in the game etc.. woohoo!
Loved his candor about the Ireland stuff. Admits he was heated, but also realized that he was in a setting that was much more important to this future than just what the events of that day had to offer.
Dez Bryant seems like a very simple kind of kid. And trust me, he is just a kid still. But sometimes being a little naive can be beneficial because when it comes to football I don't think he's scared of anything on the field. He says the playbook isn't too hard to learn and that he's just got to stay the course. There are plenty of rookies across the league right now who are wondering if they have what it takes to stay on the pro level. Doesn't seem to be the case with Dez at all. That confidence while very 'quiet' should allow him to make a big impact for the Cowboys this season.
What i know about dez from lufkin (since I live in Lufkin, he is a down to earth kid, humble player, praises the Lord now, and just wants people to be honest with him, respect him as a player and a person), a human being. He is a Dallas Cowboys Player now and the future is bright for him. Like the videos i put up for some of you when he played for the lufkin panthers, and i want to thank the guys that helped me learn how to put up the youtubes etc too. Thanks again guys!
Dez has huge hands, 9.5 inches, just sucks up the football like a vacuum cleaner, great leaping ability, God given talent, and better speed than you think. And huge size as a wr. Superior punt returner, and what i like about him when he was at lufkin, he wants the rock, the football. But main thing to help the team win, whatever it is.
What i also like about the cowboys organization, coaches and players, they are being totally honest with him, showing him the ropes, and telling him he can be the greatest wr there ever was, a man among boys, and tear the NFL up, but he has to stay on even keel and work, pratice and study which he is doing, while roy, austin, romo and others help him, tutor him along with ray sherman. Thats what you have to do, be totally honest with him. Its like what jimmy johnson said once, treat a player as who you think he can become and he will become that player, be totally honest with him, and he will become that person with some help and guidance, but ultimately he has to make the decisions in life like DC said. Just wait till Michael Irvin comes to training camp and gives Dez some pointers. Woohoo!
Wohoo, my statement for this year, is Lookout NFL here comes the Dallas Cowboys! Were for real and were here to stay awhile. How about them Cowboys!Screw the Lakers. Celtics in six!
