Like some other LSU fans have mentioned, because so many LSU boys have become cowboys I'm now a fan.
As I've gotten older and wiser my allegiances have moved to following the people under the uniforms. I can't root for thugs. I've got to like the men going into battle on Sundays.
Saban recruited good men. James, Peterman and Spears are all men you don't mind if your kid wears their jersey. Spears will represent Dallas well.
[View Full Quote]Like someone else mentioned, we haven't really mentioned his playing because most of us view the world through purple and gold glasses and we just assume everyone knows what he can do on the field. For those that don't, don't worry. He's a beast and will only get better. We're not talking about some DE that played at some community college against rinky-dink opponents. Spears played and usually dominated against the best of the best. He's still getting better too. His thighs look like tree trunks.
What you can’t find on stat sheets is heart. Spears has heart. When the chips are down, he’s the guys you want on your team.
Not much more to say than you already know. You got a good one. Spears will be one of the best in the game. I have no doubt.
