[View Full Quote]Look, all im saying is this: (sorry if im not clear, these boards are hard to communicate on sometimes).... Glover's value right now is still solid. Coming off a good year, but he's 31. I cant say that enough. Warren Sapp was 31 when he was asked to play in a 3-4. Sapp and Glover are actually very similar players. Both multi time pro bowlers, but after Sapp showed his inability to really adjust to the new schemes last year, youd be lucky to get a sack of pennies for him now. Im not saying Glover will be that bad this year, but if the Boys could get themselves a young buck at WR (albeit, so far an oft injured one), i think itd be a great low risk high reward move. This is no knock against Glover, but just that this kind of opportunity doesnt come that often. That someone actually suggested we go after Ed Reed for Glover is hilarious though. We're really over valuing Glover if we think thats even remotely possible. Rogers is the best we could get for a 31 year old (yeah i know, Pro bowler) DT. Dont expect a Chad Johnson or a Reggie Wayne for him at this stage in his career. Like i said, would anyone give up Julius Jones (even though he was hurt most of last year) for an all pro 31-32 year old player at another position? Lets say, FS. A big need. Do you give up a young guy like JJ just cuz he hasnt proven he can stay healthy for a full season for a 31 year old 4 time pro bowl free safety?
I didnt think so

Rolled my eyes? yes... because you made am ignorant statement... Julius is not an "oft-injured" player... in fact.. he is very resilient...
Sapp and Glover are not even REMOTELY the same... perhaps you see that as they are of similar size... Sapp is not willing to adapt... Glover is... Glover is a character team guy... Sapp is all about Sapp...
Do I over-value Glover... nope... his presence in the locker-room is immeasurable...
Now... you can make a case for his age... but so far... he has not slipped... you do realize that special athletes exist...
Rogers is a great talent... but 2 years in the league... he has two season-ending injuries... what is the upside for us?
Your whole argument is speculative... your comments about Julius are unfounded...
Bring somrthing to the table please...
