The Chicago Tribune is reporting that R.W. McQuarters will not attend the Bears' minicamp this weekend, fueling speculation that the veteran cornerback's days are numbered in Chicago.
The Bears are looking to unload McQuarters' $3.05 million salary, and are believed to be seeking only a seventh-round draft pick in return. If no taker is found, the Bears will likely release the eight-year veteran before training camp begins. Even though McQuarters started 20 games the last two seasons and was fourth in the NFC in punt returns in 2004 with a 9.9-yard average, the Bears have grown tired of his undisciplined play. It's unclear at this point which teams might be interested in McQuarters.

he's only 5-10 but a solid 195..... i think he played FS a few years back from the bears.... i think there are mych better options persoanlly, but i thought i'd mention he's soon to be released.
