It is about time for this.
I like to see defensive football games. They can be real nailbiters as the old sayin goes. I think a 10-7 game late into the 4th quarter is alota fun. I just like games with alota D in it. I know some people think it is not as fun but really the way the NFL is goin jeeez the NFL Ds dont have much of a chance.
Every rule is always against the D. So why not have some new rules against the O instead.
1. Ban the stiff arm. If it is used it is a 15 yard penalty.
2. Ban the chop or the cutblock. If it is used this is a 15 yard penalty.
3. Any contact a WR makes with a defender after 5 yards is automatic Offensive P.I. And how ever many yards down the field the WR made contact with the defender that is the yards of the penalty.
So if a WR pushes off a Defender 40 yards down the field on lets say 1st down and 10. Now after the penalty it will be 1st down an 50 yards to go for a 1st down.
Lets be fair about it. If a defender gets P.I. called on him 40 yards down field well it is a 40 yard penalty. So I think it is only fair that this should be done to the offense to.
4. Start enforcin 15 yard penalties on any pick plays and also make this one a loss of down to.
Really I would like to see the NFL get ridda some of the stupid rules against the D. If that could be then there would be no reason to use these 4 rules I think should be put in place. But we know those rules against the D are gonna stay.
So for a change lets start to go after the O and make them have to earn gettin in the endzone instead of it bein handed to them by the NFL Fools Committee.
Really if I want to watch Arena Football I will. I dont watch the NFL to see a 11 man version of the AFL.
