Spend 20 a week watching the game when I want, pausing and rewinding at will, getting up when I want to come chat about the game with fellow Cowboys fans - Spend 40 or 50 (anyone spending 30 bucks for two people over a 3 or 4 hour period is beyond cheap) and watch a game I can't even hear or sometimes see because there are dozens of people around and dozens of different games all on at the same time.

Yeah, it's not a tough choice.
Well said! You also forgot to mention: breathe other people's smoke, too much noise (can't hear the game), and too many distractions. I had a bar built in my sports room, I'll pour my own drinks thank you very much and watch the game on a big screen, and if I want company, I'll invite some.
