Clinton is injury prone also huh? He has missed 4 games over his 3 year NFL career. Guess I don't need to remind anyone on these forums how many games our beloved Julius missed in his lone season.
Plus I'd be pretty happy if Julius can give us the 40 catches that portis gave the Skins last season.
[View Full Quote]Over time Julius may or may not turn out to be better than Portis, but at this point in their careers Portis is hands down the better back. He has the record of success and has proven his abilities over a longer sustained period. Julius is only going into his 2nd season so it's hard to say what type of player he's going to be. There's probably not many, if any, league GMs who would turn down a Jones for Portis deal if money were no object.

For the record, I like Portis.. But I think that his numbers came back down to earth this past year.. But your #s are off... Portis fumbled 13.. but lost 8.. Also Julius has 17 catches in 8 games played. So thats on projects to 34 if he had played all 16 games. Not to mention he had 2 more TD's in 1/2 as many games played.
Also, Portis has only been in the league 3 years and this will start his fourth, so I would not say he has proven that much more than Julius at this point.
