I think he'll rush the passer well from the outside in a 3-4, but of course he is a little small. He takes on blocks well for a guy his size, and I think he could play inside in either alignment, but I think he's best suited for a 4-3 OLB.
I'm very excited to see how he'll be used in Dallas and how he'll fair in that transition. Part of the transition will be mental, and he's got the smarts
He never said he wasn't great, just that he felt that he would have been more effective inside. But if his tangibles translate the way they should, I would agree, he would be a monster outside in a 4-3 alignment in the NFL.
As for the 3-4, we may have to play him outside, but I think we will eventually want to move him elsewhere. His blitzing would be better suited against a shorter guard than a monster tackle....JMO though.
