Do you not read??? The Cowboys are not obligated to give Hunter the CB position. Contracts are not signed by position. They are signed with the intent the player is going to make the team, not the position. Ever notice how some players have a position listed on the roster, but all they play is special teams?
Sorry no slack for the mouthpiece. Read the piece taken from CowboysScout.com
"As players establish themselves as professionals, their goals change. For many young players, simply making the team seems like the ultimate goal. Then the priority becomes earning a starting spot, or reaching certain statistical (or financial) goals, or making a Pro Bowl or winning a Super Bowl.

Gee notice how Hunter wants specific starting spot before #1. Sorry, no slack.
Why do you think he can only gain the dime spot? Is he not good enough to beat the other guys? BP has always promised that any player in camp gets to compete for the listed roster position. I will accept that because I have never seen anything to the contrary.
Wrong, wrong, wrong. He's stilla CB and has all the opportunity to beat out any camp body. Let's see him do it.
Good lord, you need help. You make this sound as if we are talking about Dame Alice's Ballet School. If he can't break through he doesn't belong in football!!! For cripes sakes get a grip!!!
Yes, shut up and play football. No ballet baies need apply here.
No I accused him of talking too much and not focusing on his football play.
No you are immature. First for calling me a moron and now second for saying I'm full of crap.
Now here's where your true colours come out because you make assumptions about me not knowing who I am. If I ever felt from a professional standpoint that I was being impeded I do not go into the lunchroom or call up friends to blabber about my relationship about the boss.
I continue to do my job in whatever capacity I am allowed and begin to actively seek another position. I properly give notice without airing any grievance and move on to a better opportunity. It's called professionalism.
What? The pundits are asking him to give FS a try because they believe his physical talents would not match up to the incumbents. Nobody is asking him to leave the team! No one is abandoning him. They are asking for him to try a position change.
I'll give this one last try. Remember your comment that you felt Hunter wasn't being given a legitimate chance of success. I don't know why you would misquote me, but I never said success is a measure of declaration. I said success is a measure (as in a measurement against a benchmark) not a declaration (as in I've got lots of money or I'm a CB for the Cowboys!).
From my standpoint as a fan talking about a football player named Hunter, I would deem a success to be on the field, not sitting behind two guys named Newman and Henry. The most immediate success would be winning the open spot at FS. There's nothing more legitimate than that. No one is standing in his way other than Lynn Scott and Keith Davis. I would bet any odds on those two as opposed to Newman and Henry.
Just getting to play would be an abject failure in my opinion and I would think that many Cowboy fans would agree. His ACL should not be in his way given that many before him have successfully oversome the same injury. Hunter would then be a three year man who couldn't crack the starting line up and in BP's and Landry's words. If you don't show something by year three, "hit the road Jack!"
My, my testy aren't we? Well unfortunately in the NFL part of territory is dealing with the darts. You don't like it find another sport to follow. I dare you to find another professional sport that pays it's playeres in the millions that isn't subject to outside opinions guaging talent.
You are obviously young. Possibly even a relative, friend of a friend of Hunter's. Who knows, it wouldn't surprise me, but you need to drop this because you are having difficulty here. Give it time because we will all eventually know the cut of cloth Hunter is made of. He can't hide his true self fro the spotlight of the NFL.
