The Eagles have had a quality defensive coordinator who knows how to slingshot players from all angles and directions at the opposing offense. Jim Johnson's scheme is predicated on pressure and if you can't block it, they will feast on you. They have also had the luxury of being able to plug in just about any player and the system still has no glaring weakness or dropoff in intensity. Lose a Bobby Taylor and Troy Vincent, plug in two more CBs, Brown and Sheppard, lose a Hollis Thomas get another DT out of the box.
I also think if you can block them they will wear out quicker because they are smallish on defense. Jeramiah Trotter, who IMO is the key to that defense, is not so small however, but he is still a player. Dallas is now bigger and better in the defensive line, and the quality of our offensive line is better with Rivera, so let's hope the Cowboys can give the eaglets a bit of misery and run them down this year, literally.
I don't believe in team motivation. I believe in getting a team prepared so it knows it will have the necessary confidence
