The way I see it spending 20 bucks a week on entertainment is well worth it. Two trips to the corner store for a slice of pizza, a soda and a lottery ticket is not hard to give up to watch my Cowboys.

That's not the point.............the point is, that HD customers have already paid for having an HD dish.......they haven't had to pay in the past. Why should they now?
And yes, $20 isn't a whole lot........but, for people with families (ie kids) it really adds up. The $6/$7 dollar a week could be spent on items for your kids. I struggled with the choice to add the Ticket. I work overtime to do it.
DirectTV is a multi-billion dollar industry. It stinks that they constantly try to squeeze as much out of us as possible.
