Like that trade, Walker to Minn was a colosal blunder by the vikes, that contributed prolly 80-90%to the collective RISE of the cowboys into NFC powerhouse.
[View Full Quote]Credit Jimmy and Jerry for being smart enough to envision such a trade, being prompt enough to act and carry it out. But to say a trade before hand for a 5th rounder set it up is bigger then "the trade" itself is ludicrous. We would have found another pick worthy of inclusion into this trade to make it happen. It might not have happened exactly like it did, But it would have still happened and still been the biggest trade player and pick wise of all time, and still a colosal blunder on minn part.
No sir, The Trade is the biggest trade in Cowboys history and the other then trading the bambino to the yankees, may be the all time stupidest trades of all time.
I agree, that 1 trade turned a struggling Dallas team into a powerhouse of the 90's. Hands down the Walker trade was one of the most lopsided and biggest trades in sports, not just football.
