I think Danny was a decent quarterback .... somewhere between average and pretty good.

It wasn't just the Cowboy fans that turned on Danny. More than half his teammates wanted him off the field and wanted Gary Hogeboom starting in his place. Landry and Schramm even turned on him eventually, so it wasn't just the fans.

It seems like the longer Dallas goes without a good quarterback, the more Cowboy fans reflect fondly on the Danny White years and the more his "legend" grows.
