I'm in three leagues. Each league was rather different, which made for a fun year.
The first league had 16 teams ... so it was scrappy. After some key injuries to RBs I ended up picking up and starting Danny Woodhead. Talent was thin ...
The second league had 10 teams and allowed a QB to serve as a flex player... so everyone played two QBs each week. (League rules limited each team to 3 QBs per roster). It sounds goofy, but it was fun. Given that nearly everyone was carrying 3 QBs, it meant that there were often some decent free agent RBs and WRs available.
The third league was a conventional 10 team league.
I finished third in the first two leagues and won the third league (despite making a couple of mistakes in the final game).
Answer for this off-season: Assemble an elite offense.
