I will say the one thing I'm leery of is evaluating a player who comes from a program with lots of great players around him. This usually means the opposition can't key on him so it is harder to say how he would do if he didn't have the talent around him.

I think this is how AJ Hawk and Bobby Carpenter got overdrafted in 2006 - neither were all that great individually but they were hard to play against both of them at that level.

I think this is the reason why many LSU DL have been overdrafted in the past - just lots of good players who should be 2nd rounders but got pushed up into the 1st round because of multiple big plays on tape.
