The answer to that should be, the excuses run out, when there arent anymore excuses. To me, learning a whole new way to throw the ball, when that is the way you have thrown your whole life is a big deal. I personally have to question why go down that road now, when the player is still adjusting to the pro game.

Because if you going to make a change in the mechanic you do while they are still young, your not going to change it if or when he becomes the starter. Sometimes when learning you take a step back with the bigger picture in mind which is doing things to make you a better player in the long run
