Interesting concept using the simulator, but I think some of their rankings are off.

Mock Draft Rev. 2 - Taking Brockers Round 1

1) Brockers, DE.....would prefer Fletcher Cox or Coples if either falls....wouldn't be opposed to trading down. Brockers Scouting report here: http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2012/...ng-report.html
I just don't get it with Brockers. He's got size, but he is not very quick and not exceptionally productive.
2) Alameda Ta'amu, DT....maybe a bit of a reach here....could take Texas NT later
I just don't think the Boys want a Run-plugger. They are looking for more pass-rush, IMO.
3) Philip Blake, C
Excellent pick.
4) Jamell Fleming, CB
I'm OK with Fleming here. He's a limited athlete, but has good instincts and plays hard.
4) Trevor Guyton, DE....could go slot receiver here too....
Maybe. He's a bit on the short side for a 5-tech.
5) Brandon Brooks, G....another workout warrior
I don't see any possibility that he goes this low. Some projections have him as high as the 2nd round.
6) Ron Brooks, CB/FS......4.35 40.....Played FS too...has visited Dallas so they like him.....I like him even more: http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2012/...ng-report.html
I think he will have to play FS to have a shot in the NFL. He is fast, but way too stiff for CB, IMO. The stiffness you see in game footage is verified by his 4.56 Short Shuttle, the same SS time as DeCastro.
7) Asa Jackson, CB......also fast
I think he goes before Ron Brooks.

Mock Draft Revision 1

1) Dontari Poe, DT....risky pick
If I had to choose, I would take Poe over Brockers, but I don't really want either in the 1st round. Poe just didn't do much against mid-level competition.
2) Kevin Zeitler, OG/C.....Have read he can also play center. [/FONT]
Safe pick that should be ready to play early, but has limited upside. I think there will be better players available at #45.
3) Trumaine Johnson, CB/FS.....not so fast but good coverage and ball skills....projected as FS: http://www.buffalobillsdraft.com/201...outing-report/
Good pick. I think he projects to FS but could probably play some CB against bigger receivers. Tall with long arms.
4) Derek Wolfe, DE....workout warrior....worth a shot here: http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2012/...ng-report.html
I've been mocking Wolfe in the 4th also. Unfortunately, it looks like he could go as high the 2nd now. Kiper's latest mock has him in the 1st.
4) Trevor Guyton, DE
Maybe. He's a bit on the short side for a 5-tech.
5) Brandon Brooks, G....another workout warrior
I don't see any possibility that he goes this low. Some projections have him as high as the 2nd round.
6) Ron Brooks, CB/FS......4.35 40
I think he will have to play FS to have a shot in the NFL. He is fast, but way too stiff for CB, IMO. The stiffness you see in game footage is verified by his 4.56 Short Shuttle, the same SS time as DeCastro.
7) Asa Jackson, CB......also fast
