I start preparing my wife about a month before the draft by asking her about every other day, "what is happening in 30 days, 28 days, etc. Of course by now she says, " the draft"! She absolutely knows that NOTHING other than someone dying (and it depends who) I will be watching the draft. Now, even though she really doesn't care for football at all, she will ask me during the draft what is going on and who Dallas has picked. Then she will ask if they any good. I always say, " I sure hope so " otherwise it could be another long year.
She will then ask why I have to watch after Dallas picks. I look at her like she is from outer space and say, " the stupid Eagles or whoever" picks next". We hope they pick a bust!. She shakes her head and asks if I want something to eat? Good woman, 36 years worth... God I love the draft!!!!
