When the playoffs arrive, teams that each will be facing are teams who have better then just average pitching. Good pitching beats good hitting almost every time and I don't see the Yankees hitting enough extra base hits to keep them in it without their pitching coming back.
The O's are going to lose all of those real close games because they don't have great pitching or great hitting and the teams they are playing will.
I guess we'll see what happens.
The Orioles have been 2nd to the Yankees in runs scored as a result of the homerun.
The reason the Orioles win all those 1 run and extra inning games is because of pitching. Their closer now has 45 saves. The bullpen has been consistently very good all year.
The Orioles starters are better right now than people who dont follow the team think.
Right now the Orioles, Yankees, and A's are only 3 games behind Texas for the best record in the AL. This should be a fun last 2 weeks to the season. One would think the Rangers end up with the best record in the AL, but the AL West could beat up on each other and the AL East could move up for best record. Who knows, but it'll be fun.
