I think given time he would find the right person. I question how much the game has gone by, but I think fundamentally Jimmy would create a sound football team. Sorta like Joe Gibbs did in his return to the Redskins. While Gibbs was a failure in Washington his 2nd time around, they were better than when he got them (and after he left them).

Jimmy didn't fire Tony Wise. Wannstedt took Wise with him when he was took the Bears' HC position, right after their first SB. Houck inherited a unit that Wise built, with the exception of Larry Allen. Norv recommended Houck, who he was familiar with when they were both assistants on the Rams coaching staff.
