It's a difficult balance when your country is based on freedom and the premise that all men are created equal. You can't just take peoples freedoms away because you don't like them. It' not that I don't like them, it is that it is so destructive to our kids.
One girl kills herself because of ridicule on Facebook.
One boy ruins his life with alcohol.
One dad tears his family apart with gambling addiction.
One is too many for me.
I could live without things that I am free to do, if it saved other peoples lives. I would find something else to do.
I guess it is open to interpretation if a young girl dying, or lives being ruined because of alcohol or gambling is serious enough to impede everyone's freedom.
Let's replace negative, destructive things with other more positive things. Everyone would get over it.
I'm off of my soapbox now, .. I just get sick of kids lives being broken into pieces because of things we have given them to play with.
We should better protect our young people, heck even our young adults.
