It seems Scott Forstall, senior vice president of iOS software, is leaving Apple next year. He's serving as an advisor to CEO TIm Cook in the interim.
John Browett head of Retail is also leaving.
Their press release says it's for increasing collaboration across hardware, software & services, but it sounds more like some of their executives are jumping ship while they are still somewhat on top.
Apple definitely doesn't appear that they are still on top of their game. Their iPad Mini was a big disappointment and now it appears that they are getting trumped in the full iPad market now too not to mention while their biggest and best seller is still the iPhone, their market share there is shrinking every quarter.

Full iPad trumped? By what, the Nexus 10? Excuse me while I yawn. There have been a number of tablets with supposedly superior hardware over the years, all of them dubbed the iPad killer. Check their sales then check the iPad sales and get back to me.
