Is it easier to defend the pass when your not playing the run. Two deep safties, bump and run underneath and 4-5 pass rushers ripping up the field, getting after the QB?
Whatever effects running the ball well has on being able to pass well, it is minimal. And whether you run the ball well or poorly, you can still pass it better than your opponent. If there was a correlation between running well and passing well, or between running well and winning, it would be evident -- but it's not.
