Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said he’s anxious for leading rusher DeMarco Murray (330 yards, 4.4 avg.) to return to the lineup after missing the last three games with a sprained foot. But Murray has not passed all the incremental thresholds of recovery required by team trainers, clouding his status for Sunday’s game at Philadelphia.
“He has to be able to 10 times go up and down on his toes. Then, he has to be able to hop on his foot by itself without any pain. Then, he has to be able to jog,” Garrett said. “All that kind of stuff … before he can even practice. He’s passed a couple of thresholds. Not all of them.”
