Buffalo is not New England; Ryan Fitzpatrick is not Tom Brady. The fake occured early in the 4th with Seattle up 47-17. To claim the final outcome of the game was even remotely in doubt at that point is disingenuous.

Running a fake punt in that situation wasn't "playing to win". Even Pete Carroll is smart enough to realize that, hence his claim after that fact that he regretted not calling it off.
